He was predeceased by: his parents, Delmes Holmes and Lakie Holmes; his siblings, Drema Tomko, Jimmy Darrell and Billy Don Holmes; and his granddaughter Chrissy.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Owens (Mike) of Pound, VA and Steve Holmes (Cindy); his siblings, Shirley Absher of Norton, VA, Sue Blackwell of Norton, VA, June Dean of Norton, VA, Sharon Broyles (Dave) of Atlanta, GA, Mike Holmes (Dorinda) of Pound, VA and Roy Holmes of Wise, VA; and his close friends, Barbara Weimer and Danny Baker of Pound, VA. He is also survived by six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; several nieces; nephews.
