He is survived by: his father Franklin D. West of Wise; his children, Franklin Richard West (Katherine) of Ft. Oglethorpe, GA., Cassanda Elizabeth West Frye of Coeburn, VA and Charles Justin West (Sarah) of South Pittsburg, TN.; his grandchildren, Jasmine of Ft. Oglethorpe, GA, Laura of Ft. Oglethorpe, GA and Mellina West of Ft. Oglethorpe, GA; his children, Jordan Smith of Bristol, TN., Hunter Smith of Coeburn, VA, Kylie Frye of Coeburn, VA, Waylynn Couch of Coeburn, VA and Orin West of South Pittsburg, TN.; his siblings, Mike West of Coeburn, VA and Chrissy West of Gate City, VA.; his nieces, Jade Barb of Bristol, VA., Brandi Barb of Bristol, VA, Ashley Barb of Richmond, VA and Mazi West of Coeburn, VA.; his great-nephew Asher Griffith of Richmond, VA.; and his close friend Veronica Fleming of Norton. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins.
