He was predeceased by: his parents, Little Pigeon and Grey Owl; his siblings, Irving Simms, Dixie Barnes, David Nicholas and Paula Nicholas; and his son-in-law William "BJ" Lowe.
He is survived by: his wife Eva Lee Underwood Nicholas; his daughters, Kwana Nicholas and Maya Nicholas Messer; his son-in-law Joshua Messer; his son Michael Lee Nicholas; his grandchildren, Cheyenne Nicholas, Dominique Woolwine, Daniel Marcum, Neenah Lowe and Elton "EJ" Lowe; his siblings, Leona Mark, Tom Mark, Duane Nicholas, Diana Nicholas, James Nicholas and John Nicholas; and his daughter Julia May Nicholas. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
