He was predeceased by: his father Charles Ellis Rainey, Sr.; and his wife Patricia A. Davis. He is survived by: his children, Sena Rainey, Shawna Aschmies (Scott), Orlando "Landy" Rainey, Jr. and Gordon Davis-Thompson; his grandson Sterling Aschmies; his siblings, Patricia Watkins (Charles) and Charles Rainey, Jr. (Paula); and his nieces, Angela and Kea.
