He was predeceased by: his parents, James Martin and Ruth Ann Laconia; and his siblings, Lela Gregor and John Laconia. He is survived by: his wife Julia; his sons, James T. Laconia and Leslie C. Laconia; his brothers, Hubert Laconia, Donald Laconia and James Laconia (Margaret); and his brother-in-law Joe Gregor. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
