It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Howard Farmer Sr. of Winchester, Virginia, born in Bluefield, Virginia, who passed away on February 14, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward J. Farmer and Gracie Ann Amos Farmer; his siblings, Edward, James, Marvin, Sam, Claude, Francis, Evelyn and Macie; and his stepgranddaughter Jennifer Wynkoop.
He is survived by: his sons, H. Blaine Farmer, Jr. (Melanie) and Ronald E. Farmer, Sr.; his grandchildren, Katelyn Farmer, Ronald Farmer, Jr., Matthew Farmer, Joshua Ramsay and Sarah Ramsay; his stepchildren, Deborah Jones (Donald), George Wynkoop (Robin), Donna Wynkoop, Glenn Wynkoop (Lisa) and Walter Briley (Amy); and his stepgrandchildren, April Wynkoop, Tammy Orlando, Amber Wynkoop, Shannon Williams, Chad Wynkoop, Jacob Briley, Caleb Briley, Eden Briley and Luke Briley. He is also survived by 2 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Foundation.
