He is survived by: his wife Maxine Myers Thorn (Helmick); his children, Roger Thorn of Winchester, VA, Daniel Thorn (Angela) of Winchester, VA and Kimberly Pierce of Winchester, VA; his stepson Rodney Myers of Keyser, WV; his grandchildren, Lucas, Marcus Thorn (Jessica), Mikayla Thorn and Joy Pierce (Mary Pierce); his stepgrandchildren, Chelsea Gillette (Michael), Ryan Marshall (Cheyenne), Andrew Marshall (Lexxi) and Alec Marshall; his great grandchildren, Esme Thorn and Emelia Thorn; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Emmilyn Marshall, Oliver Marshall and Astrid Marshall; and his sisters, Norma Fulk of Broadway, VA., Linda Wilt (Jim) of Bergton, VA., Jean Bean (Bernard) of Staunton, VA., Nancy Swick (Buddy) of Moorefield, WV, Shirley Bays of Keyser, WV, Shelby Stump (Carl) of Moorefield, WV and Midge Kester (Jesse) of Staunton, VA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
