He was predeceased by: his parents, Edna Dunn (Holland) and Delmas J. Dunn; and his son Ronald H. Dunn, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Verona; his sons, David R. Dunn (Michelle) of Covington, VA and Brian W. Dunn of Denver, CO; and his grandson Cody Lee Dunn of Denver, CO..

Ron and Verona also were generous supporters of the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation and the APVA.
