He was predeceased by: his parents, James Wallace Sr. and Thelma Wallace Wade of Williamsburg; and his sisters, Annette Minns and Thelma "Mickey" Wallace. He is survived by: his siblings, James Wallace, Jr. (Barbara) of Charles City, Deloris Morris (Alvester) of Williamsburg, Elaine Evans (Thomas) of Williamsburg, Darlette Coles of Williamsburg, Judy White of Williamsburg and Philesia Wade of Newport News; his aunt Doris Edwards of Newport News; his uncles, James Jones (Betty) of Dale City, VA and John Jones (Sandra) of Williamsburg; and his close friends, Eddie Walker, Ray Morman and Gervis Hundley. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He retired from the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation after thirty years of service and was also employed as a cook at the Patrick Henry Inn.
