He was predeceased by: his parents, Rozelma Evans and Linwood I. Evans Sr.; and his nephew Bruce Evans Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Hattie; his daughter Coty Evans; his grandson Jessie Carter, Jr.; his siblings, Bruce Evans, Sr. (Joyce) and Berniece Bailey; his godchildren, Tarsha Cook and Stedman Wade; and his siblings-in-law, Ann Tabb, Macie Johnson, Lou Ethel Craddock and Lindbergh Johnson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, dedicated cousins, and friends.
