He was predeceased by: his parents, Roosevelt Cherry and Ella Mae Cherry; and his brothers, Harrison Cherry and Eugene Silton Cherry. He is survived by: his son Leslie Gray; his grandchildren, Iesha Jackson and Keisha Jackson; his nephew Harrison Cherry; his aunts, Elaine Walker (Sylvester) and Mary Walthall (Jan); and his friends, Debra Ford, Tanya Johnson and Jennifer Meeks. He is also survived by his nurse; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
