He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Wilson Givens and Virginia Olivette Walker Givens of Croaker, Virginia.; and his siblings, Virginia Ann Jones, Phyllis G. Gilliam and Paul H. Givens.
He is survived by: his wife Zelda Givens; his children, Montia Givens Pressey, Jacqueline Gray, Eddie Wilson Givens, Jr. and Kelvin Braxton; and his siblings, Pauline E. Washington, Alice G. Roberts, David A. Givens Sr., Betty J. Dumangane, Agnes E. Harris and Shirley E. Yost. He is also survived by six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
