She was predeceased by: her husband Edward Royall Sheffield; her parents, Walter Francis and Iris Francis; and her sister Sue F. Massie. She is survived by: her children, Susan S. Yowell (Stephen) of Waynesboro, VA, Nancy S. Peterson of Lafayette, CO and Edward R. Sheffield, Jr. (Winston) of West Point, VA; her grandchildren, Gordon Yowell (Melissa), Lindsay Yowell, Stuart Sheffield (Alex) and Sarah Sheffield; and her great grandchildren, Haley and Julie Yowell.
Due to COVID, the family will hold a private graveside funeral service in Crewe Cemetery.
