She was predeceased by: her parents, Linwood Skelton and Mary Skelton; her daughter Tabatha Lynn Coates; and her brother David "Bubba" Skelton. She is survived by: her children, Stephen Michael Skelton of Warsaw, Robert Lewis Courtney, Jr., John Patrick Courtney of Aylett, David Paul Courtney of Tappahannock and Amanda Dawn Courtney of King William; and her siblings, Ralph Skelton of Tappahannock and Sue Carneal of Tappahannock. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
