She was predeceased by: her parents, William Preston Whittaker and Josephine Cecil Whittaker; and her husband David Lee Dodson. She is survived by: her children, David L. Dodson, Jr. of Callao, Marie Davis of Midlothian, Deborah Jones of Ashburn and Linda Withers of Hague; her sisters, Doris Nichols of Richmond, Betty Odom of Richmond and Rachel Eubanks of Morgantown, WV; and her close friend Earl Hayes. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
