She was predeceased by: her parents, Ira Boyd Headley and Ruth Gordon Headley; her husband Rev. Lemuel Bowen; and her siblings, Hilbert, Charles, Calvin Headley, Irene Packett and Burneta Bryant.
She is survived by: her children, Andrew "Drew" James, IV (Ketty) of Naples, FL and Carole Lane of Westport, CT; her grandchildren, Courtney, Jennifer and James; and her pet AliKai. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
