With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Adaler Bliss Coates of Warsaw, Virginia, who passed away on April 2, 2021 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Adaler B. Coates, Jr. and Martha Gentry Welch. He is survived by: his wife Diane Berger Coates; his daughter Jacqui Coates Elbourn (Steven); his brother Bryan G. Coates (Marvette); his stepbrother J. Paul Welch II (Julie); his sisters, Beth C. Hopson (Robert), Laura and King (George); his stepsister Sarah W. Hughes (Jon); his grandson Jackson Bliss Elbourn; his stepgrandchildren, Seth, Megan and Ethan Elbourn; his stepfather John W. Welch II; and his brother-in-law Wayne Berger (Pam).
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Bliss' honor to Beulah Baptist Church, 130 Beulah Lane, Warsaw, VA 22572 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
