He was predeceased by: his mother Lillie K. Belangia; his wife Dorothy; and his brothers, Gilbert and Roderick. He is survived by: his father Lonnie R. Belangia; his daughters, Marsha Stevens (Omar) of Deltona, FL. and Cynthia (Gary) of Catlett, VA.; and his grandchildren, Bryan Rutushin and Kelley Cordova.

Memorial gifts can be donated to Raleigh Heights Baptist Church, 1000 Cromwell Ave., Chesapeake, VA. 23324.
