She was predeceased by: her parents, Ethel Hughes Bolden and John Wesley Bolden; her siblings, Duval G. Bolden, Sr., Wesley W. Bolden and Phylis A. Bolden; and her son Samuel D. Fletcher Jr..

She is survived by: her nephews, Duvall G. Bolden Jr. (Gail) and Jonathan S. Bolden; her sister-in-law Mary Anne Bolden; and her close friend Jacqueline Stewart. She is also survived by cousins, close friends.
