She was predeceased by: her parents, Carlton Dewey Lacks and Annie Maude Lacks; her husband Jerry Wendel Yancey; and her grandson Dakota Wayne Yancey. She is survived by: her sons, Charles Dewey Yancey (Victoria) of Buffalo Junction and Wendel Scott Yancey of Virgilina; her brother Joseph Delmar Lacks of Virgilina; her grandchildren, Renae, Amanda, Austin, Hannah, Katelyn, Savannah and Chyanne; and her great grandchildren, Summer, Christopher, Jonathan and Autumn.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Watkins Cooper Funeral Home (703 Virginia Ave, Clarksville, VA 23927). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Aarons Creek Baptist Church (1066 Aarons Creek Rd, Virgilina, VA 24598). A burial will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at the Aarons Creek Baptist Church Cemetery (1066 Aarons Creek Rd, Virgilina, VA 24598).
