She was predeceased by: her parents, Leff Proffitt and Myrtle Mae Rowe Proffitt; her husband William Riley "Candyman" Pruitt; and her sister Edith Collins. She is survived by: her nieces, Loretta Hughes (Kenny) of Bristol, VA and Robin Blankenship of Paynesville, VA; her brother-in-law Robert Collins of Abingdon, VA; and her close friend Gloria Lowe. She is also survived by several great nieces and nephews; many friends.
