She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Preston Cornwell and Alverta Rudd Cornwell; her siblings, Danny Cornwell and Linda Mitchell; and her brother-in-law Clif Mitchell.
She is survived by: her husband Bill Kitts; her sons, William "Billy" Wayne Kitts and George Preston Kitts (Janet Cooper) of Tazewell, VA; her brother Mike Cornwell (Sandy) of Thompson Valley, VA; her sister-in-law Pastor Carol Cornwell of North Tazewell, VA; and her grandchildren, Austin Nicholas Kitts and Katie Grace Kitts.
