He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Norman and Lottie Brinkley Norman; his former wife Mary Lou Chandler Norman; his son Gary Gray Norman; his sister Frances; his brother-in-law Woodrow O'Dell; his brother Fred Norman, Jr.; and his sister-in-law Ruth Norman.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Fulk Key; his son Timothy Shawn; his daughter-in-law April Norman of Clayton; his grandchildren, Tyler, Brooke Norman of Rural Hall, Adam, June Wood of Conway, SC and Leah Adams of Clayton; his great grandchildren, Jasper Adams, Banks Wood, Britton Wood, Bree Wood and Novalea Norman; his brother Bob; and his sister-in-law Betty Norman of Woodbridge, VA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
