He is survived by: his wife Linda Reeves Byrd; his children, Raymond Eugene Byrd Jr. (Michelle Byrd) of Sanford, NC and Anthea Byrd of Danville, VA; his brother Bobby Byrd (Shirley) of Galax, VA; his granddaughter Hannah L. Brown (Hunter); his great grandchildren, Easton Brown and Emerson Brown; and his brother-in-law L. C. Patton.
