We bid farewell to Cynthia C. Spitzer of Staunton, Virginia, born in Richwood, West Virginia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 7, 2024 at the age of 76. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Harvey and Betty Lee Blake Coe; and her sister Deborah Coe-Wiedman. She is survived by: her husband Stephen Douglas Spitzer; her close friends, Beth Spitzer Moyer, Tom Knott, Brian Spitzer and Tyler Rhodes; her grandchildren, Courtney Moyer Adkins (Alex) and Macon Alex Moyer III (Kristine Bajade); her great grandchildren, Evelyn and Audrey Adkins; her siblings-in-law, Karen Sambrook (late Larry), Keith and Vickie Spitzer; and her close friends, Brenda, Richard Powell and Dennis Masincup. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and two special cousins.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials may be sent in memory of her to Staunton Church of the Brethern (1615 North Coalter Street, Staunton, VA., 24401) or Shenandoah Hospice House (c/o Augusta Health Foundation, P.O. Box 1000, Fishersville, VA 22939), who provided her with in-home care with a special thanks to Kaitlyn and Tiffany for their kindness and care since January.
