He is survived by: his children, Travis Midkiff of Narrows, VA, Mary Ann Furrow (Jeff Furrow) of Staffordsville, Jarrod Midkiff of Staffordsville and Matthew Midkiff (Taylor Midkiff) of Sugar Run; his grandchildren, Adriana Horton and Paisley Midkiff; and his siblings, Laura "Jane" Cook, Hallie "Polly" Johnson (Wendell Johnson), Elizabeth "Libby" Carver, Gladys McCauley, Jimmy Midkiff (Barbara Midkiff), Richard "Ricky" (Drema Midkiff), Joe (Wilma Midkiff), Newton "Junior" Midkiff Jr. (Mae Bell Midkiff), Elgin (Anna Midkiff) and Jessie "Sonny" Midkiff. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
