He was predeceased by: his mother Nellie Ratcliffe; his wife Donna Turpin Shepherd; and his siblings, Hubert Shepherd and Bonnie Guill. He is survived by: his children, Phillip Shepherd and Melissa Hall (Travis); and his grandchildren, Angel Clark, Elizabeth Clark and John Clark.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel (605 Snidow St, Pembroke, VA 24136). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery (5550 Bagging Plant Rd, Dublin, VA 24084).
