He is survived by: his wife Anna Jones Midkiff; his son Spencer Midkiff (Crystal Dawn Blankenship); his siblings, Newton Junior Midkiff, Jr. (Mae Bell Midkiff), Ricky Midkiff (Dreama), Joe Midkiff (Wilma), Jessie Midkiff, Jimmy Midkiff (Barbara), Elizabeth "Libby" Carver, Hallie "Polly" Johnson (Wendell), Laura "Jane" Cook and Gladys McCauley; and his parents-in-law, Maggie Jones of Staffordsville, Roger, Vanessa Jones of Rich Creek, Susan, Gary Moore and Cindy Bowman of Christiansburg, VA.
