He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanislaus Mieczkowski and Stanislawa Runiec Mieczkowski; his wife Dorothy A. Gonedridge Mitchell; and his siblings, Lydia Misiewicz, Helena Barry and Henry Mieczkowski.
He is survived by: his children, Richard A. Mitchell (Marna Carlton) and Linda Mitchell; and his grandchildren, James Mitchell, Laura Mitchell and Emily Mitchell.
