He was predeceased by: his parents, James Francis Smith and Margaret Crowley Smith; and his sisters, Mary and Peggy Ann. He is survived by: his children, Maureen Clendening (Harry), Patricia Smith, Stephen Smith and Kelly Wardell (Steven); and his daughter-in-law Jennifer Smith. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren.
