It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eugene Getson of Springfield, Virginia, born in Joliet, Illinois, who passed away on January 17, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Michael Paul Getson and Stephanie Millie Bajt; his wife Evelyn Marie Pesavento of Lockport; his children, Sandy Samuel (Hardi) of Melbourne, Nancy DeBrosse (Wes) of Fairfax Station and Doug Getson (Nancy) of Waco, Texas; his grandchildren, Kurt, Nicole Samuel, Krista, Michael, Julia DeBrosse, Benjamin and Olivia Getson; and his sisters, Audrey Wright (Rod), Shirley Catalanello (Jim) and Suzanne Domnick (Denny).
A PRIVATE ENTOMBMENT WILL TAKE PLACE WITH IMMEDIATE FAMILY (INVITE ONLY) IN ATTENDANCE Due to COVID-19 restrictions, masks and social distancing practices are required inside the funeral home and a limited capacity will be allowed at one time.
