He is survived by: his children, Lonnie Simpkins, Martin Simpkins (Anita) and Misty Coonradt (Charles); his siblings, Betty Ann McFalls (Charles) and Shirley Walker; and his grandchildren, Brian, Patrick, Martin, Jr., John Joseph Simpkins and Ashley Matalone.
