He was predeceased by: his parents, William Jefferson Philpott and Mary Katherine Philpott; and his wife Virginia Ann Crowe Philpott. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Austin Philpott (Taylor Edwards) of Spencer and Olivia Philpott of Henry County; and his siblings, Mary Anne Hopkins of Critz, Rita Doughton of Rocky Mount, Randy Philpott of Henry, VA, David Philpott of Henry, VA, William Philpott of Henry, VA and Jay Philpott of Henry, VA.
