He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Holmes Nelson and Lottie Pearl Ellis Nelson; and his brother Hoyte Leon Nelson, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Ethylene Edwards Nelson; his children, Susan Hedrick (Arnie), Paul Nelson and H. E. Nelson (Sandra); his granddaughter Katie Poole (Matt); his great grandchildren, Makayla and Grayson Poole; his sisters, Arlene Conway and Louise Stone (Clifford); and also Harold Coleman. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Because of Covid, services will be private.
