She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Guy Sheppard and Mary Lena Beasley Sheppard; her husband Kermit Ray Hutchens; her brothers, Samuel Leon Sheppard and William Thomas Sheppard; her daughter-in-law Mary Jo Hutchens; and her niece Sandra Sheppard Ayers.
She is survived by: her sons, Donald Wayne Hutchens (Claudia) of Spencer and Edward Blaine Hutchens (Angie) of Spencer, Virginia; her granddaughter Kenadie Lane Hutchens of Spencer, Virginia; her brother Joel Sheppard (Ruby) of Westfield; her sister-in-law Virginia Hylton Sheppard; her nieces, Wendy Holcomb, Mitzi Sheppard and Tane Durham; and her nephew Blake Sheppard.
