With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Virginia Harrell Gibson of Smithfield, Virginia, who passed away on September 9, 2023 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Harrell and Bobbie Harrell; her husband Alexander "Dick" Gibson; her stepfather James W. Harrell; and her great grandchild Brody McClenney.

She is survived by: her daughters, Cindy McClenney (Joseph), Lynn G. Branch of Smithfield, VA and Pamela Nicholls (David) of Smithfield, VA; her grandchildren, Amy Birdsong, Karen Wilson, Nikki Leos, Mathew McClenney and John Nicholls; her great grandchildren, Clinton, Kala Wilson, Jackson, Marley Leos and Aiden McClenney; her brother Jimmy Harrell (Cindy) of Barbarasville, VA; and her nephews, Whit and Stacy Harrell.

Memorial donations may be made to Whiteheads Grove Baptist Church, 18366 Benns Church Blvd, Smithfield, VA, 23430.
