He was predeceased by: his parents, Theotris Wood and Hattie Jane Wood (Freeman); and his siblings, Gene Wood, Harry Franklin Wood, Rosa Mosley, Carolyn Lardeva Cameron (Wood), Theresa Dale Harris and Deborah Hope Robinson.
He is survived by: his wife Beatrice Alma Wood (Seward); his sons, Derrick Theotris Wood (Juana) of Newport News, VA, Alvin Wood (Alexandra) of Newport News, VA and Markeith Thomas Wood (Cecily) of Newport News, VA; his sisters, Diane Wood of Chase City, VA and Janice Christian of Richmond, VA; and his siblings-in-law, Thelma Pearl Kindred of Hampton, VA, Catherine Branch of Newport News, VA, John Seward (Della) of Smithfield, VA and Michael Seward of Newport News, VA. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
