Bonney Jr. of Smithfield, Virginia, born in Bay Ridge, New York, who passed away on August 26, 2023, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James P. Bonney Sr. and Margaret McDermott Bonney of Pine Bush, NY; and his siblings, Joseph Michael, Richard, Thomas, Robert, Daniel, Mary B. Edmunds, Margaret B. Szemplenski and Elnora Bonney.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Turfler Bonney; his sons, Paul Michael Bonney (Susan) of Smithfield and Daniel John Bonney (Kathy); his grandchildren, Jack Bonney (Abbie) of Anchorage Alaska, Kevin Bonney (Alex) of Anchorage Alaska, James A. Bonney (Warry) and Michelle Sylvester (Ben) of Colorado; and his great grandchildren, Adelynn, Elliot Bonney, Russell, Lilly Ann Sylvester, Owen and Sam Bonney. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
