He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Marshall and Mary Elizabeth Thomas; his wife Iris G. Thomas; and his siblings, Bobby Ray Thomas, Leon Ricky Thomas, Lonnie Marshall Thomas, Leon Marshall Thomas Jr., Doretha Jones and Linda Beth Thomas.
He is survived by: his children, Dante Butler (Sadie), Montae Butler, Francine M. Owens (Kevin), Iris B. Harrell, Bernetta M. White (Art), Bernard E. Boone Jr. (Czetta) and Roderick C. Boone (Sonya); his grandchildren, Iyonah Ridley, Kahleik Butler, Jayden Butler, Jaleea Butler and Josiah Butler; and his siblings, Michael Lynn Thomas, Craig Jeffrey Thomas, Anthony Lee Thomas, Mary Elizabeth Thomas, Cheryl Yvonne Judkins (Stacy), Yolanda Yvette Addison (Marqee) and Belynda Jeanette Sharpe. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
