She is survived by: her children, Alan Carter of Rustburg, Jay Carter (Dorothy) of Lynchburg, Teresa Carter of Lynchburg and Hannah Hamlette of Rustburg; and her brother Pastor Bill Evans (Judy) of Lynchburg. She is also survived by five grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.
