He was predeceased by: his parents, Garnie Brown and Hazel Hodge Brown. He is survived by: his former wife Doris Foushee; his children, Hazel Alvarez, Henrietta Brown, Sheila Brown and Eric Wheatly; and his siblings, Roger Brown, Henry Brown and Grace Brown. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren.

“My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family Grace. May God surround you with his love and comfort. Dalford and I had been spending a lot of time talking in the last few months. I told him when the weather got better I could go by and get you so we could ride up and see him. He said he was in a lot of pain. He doesn't feel pain anymore because God has taken him home. I have so many memories of the three of us when we were younger. I love you sis and if you need me for anything call me.”
