It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cecil Franklin Floyd (Rustburg, Virginia), born in Amherst, Virginia, who passed away on October 18, 2019, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Elton Floyd and Eunice Jennings Floyd; his siblings, Leroy Floyd and Shirley F. Gowen; and his pet Lady.

He is survived by: his daughters, Sheila Mays (George), Lisa Brigham and Cathie Pannell (Tracy); his grandchildren, Frankie Mays (Kelly), Matthew Melton and L. D. Angus (Holly); his great grandchildren, Madison, Franklin, Jack Mays, Brett, Cooper, Jon Wayne Melton, Dalaney, Dakotah Angus and Christian Tomlinson; and his siblings, James E. Floyd, Madeline Mawyer and Elsie Jessee.
