She is survived by: her children, Keith Shirey (Denah), Kevin Shirey (Rachel), Alice Rose Smith (Daniel) and Sarah Marie Carmichael (C. L.); her grandchildren, Emilie, Kalyn, Isaac Smith, David Shirey, Tripp and Flynn Carmichael; and her brother George Sumpter III (Carolyn).
