It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evangeline Groseclose Humphreys (Rural Retreat, Virginia), who passed away on September 22, 2019, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Emmet Groseclose and Jettie Johnson Groseclose. She is survived by: her children, Annette H. Mabe (Jim) of Chilhowie, VA, Troy Humphreys of Rural Retreat and Curtis Humphreys (Lisa) of Bland, VA; her granddaughter Stacey Burton (Jesse Blevins); and her stepgrandchildren, Kaci Willis, Jenny Davis, Philip Bledsoe and Jesse Bledsoe. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
