It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Curtis Johnny Parks (Rural Retreat, Virginia), who passed away on July 20, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Parks of Washington and Sena Rose Hash Parks; his brothers, Howard Henderson Parks, Ralph Coy Parks and Joseph Wade Parks; his granddaughter Wanita Louise Grable; and his great grandchildren, Hunter Webb and Cameron Webb.
He is survived by: his wife Eleanor K. Parks; his daughters, Vanessa Grable (Michael) and Lisa Simmerman (Dennis); his sister Beulah Minor; his grandchildren, Crystal Webb, Christopher Grable and John Grable; his great grandchildren, Lilliana Grable, Isaac Webb and Maya Grable; and his stepdaughters, Sally Davis and Abby Spencer. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Rural Retreat Public Library, P.O. Box 103, Rural Retreat, VA 24368.
