He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlyle Gray and Frances Vance Miller; his wife Mildred Dove Newberry Miller; his son Donald Miller; and his siblings, Lanny Miller, Ralph Miller, Linda Stinson and Shirley Wilson Hurley.
He is survived by: his sons, Kennith Miller (Kathy) of Mill Creek, VA and Joey Miller (Dafawna) of Honaker, VA; and his siblings, Lewis Miller of Swords Creek, VA, Joe Bill Miller of Swords Creek, VA, Patty Miller of Richlands, VA, Sandy Aasgard of Las Vegas, NV and Connie Robinson of Richlands, VA. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
