It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Patricia Nearhood of Richlands, Virginia, born in Jewell Ridge, Virginia, who passed away on August 27, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Clinton and Effie Patrick Nearhood; and her siblings, Geneva Coleman, Leslie Kyle Nearhood and George Clinton Nearhood, Jr..

She is survived by: her husband Robert L. Nester, Sr.; her niece Sharon Loup (Steve) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and her nephew George Clinton Nearhood, III (Mary) of Richlands, Virginia..

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the family requests that protective masks and facial coverings be worn at all times.
