He is survived by: his wife Peggy Ann Gillespie; his daughters, Layne Gillespie and Brooke Shrum (Jordan Shrum); his grandchildren, Hadley Layne Scott and Grayson Wade Shrum; and his brothers, Cecil F. Gillespie and Darrell Gillespie A.
