She was predeceased by: her parents, Fleming Poole and Mablel Poole; and her husband Lloyd Epps. She is survived by: her cousins, Doris Roberts and Thelma Johnson; and her children, Timothy Epps (Katrece), Charles Howard (Charlene), Darryl Carrington (Septavia), Shawn Sims, Paulette Horne and Nadine Saunders. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and cousins.

She died peacefully at home after her long and valiant fight against Alzheimer's disease.
