He was predeceased by: his parents, Emilio Porto and Waltraut Harms Porto; and his stepmother Irene Coyle Porto. He is survived by: his children, Robert J. Porto, Jr. of Cloverdale and Christina M. Porto of Cloverdale; his granddaughters, Alizabeth Porto and Liliana Porto; his great grandchild Marceline Lewers; his caregiver Laura Breeding McMahon; and his siblings, Jane Kemp (Worthington) of Welcome, Maryland, Edward Porto (Natalie) of Fredericksburg, VA, Joseph Porto (Nichelle) of Sterling, VA, Irene Johnson (Nathan) of Centerton, Arkansas and Katharine Jackson (Nicholas) of Dumfries, VA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
